Citrine

It's the weekend, no picking, packing, or posting needs to be done today. There is some listing that needs to be done on the website, but I can do that later. In addition to all of those things I don't have to do today, I also don't have my son this weekend. I miss him a little bit, I'll give him a call later, see how his days been. So what the hell have you been doing all day, I hear you ask. Well I'll tell you. I've been sorting through all of my Citrine gemstones.

Citrine is a translucent quartz. Ranging in colour from burnt orange right the way through to an almost colourless pale yellow. But the majority of citrine is a bright yellow colour.

Citrine has a very gentle grounding effect, and helps the body to release stress and tension. It's a gemstone that allows one to completely relax. So that's what I did. I sorted some of my citrines into pairs for earrings. I read a little '12 years a slave'. I made an excellent lunch, as opposed to just picking bits and pieces from the fridge and cupboard and fruit bowl, and throwing them straight down my gullet without a plate or anything. I watched a little Saturday afternoon TV, World Indoor Bowls Championship. Okay that's enough, too chilled even by my standards.

One last thing. Citrine is known as 'the merchants stone'. It is said that if you put a piece in your till or cash box it'll help to multiply its contents. Sounds good to me. I've just put one of those little earring pieces in my wallet. Time to get rich I think.
